Important Information about Bottles We'd like to draw your attention to something really important. Something so crucial that it can mess up all your plans to install and use your fake purge system!
Legislation has recently been passed that makes it illegal for a company to refill a nitrous or carbon dioxide cylinder that does not carry the European 'PI' mark and a current cylinder test certificate or sticker.
As a result of this legislation Turbobits now sells its nitrous kits and fake purge kits with Euro 'PI' marked bottles and not the imported American DOT marked ones. Before you buy a nitrous oxide kit from anyone (we know we have competition) please make sure you are buying a 'PI' marked cylinder.

More on marks, tests and filling At this time, all cylinders manufactured within the UK and Europe have TPED or PED approval meaning they ARE EU approved. NX, NOS and other IMPORTED bottles are NOT EU approved as they only conform to DOT standards, and should not be refilled within the EU.
U.S. DOT cylinders are allowed to be imported into the UK using Multilateral Agreement M125 which clearly states that they should be re-exported back to the states for re-filling.
We can refill any cylinder of any size with any connection as long as it is within its test period and is EU (PED or TPED) approved. Any EU approved cylinder will have the PI Mark.
The test period is a term commonly used within the cylinder filling industry. Basically, it indicates that a cylinder is safe to fill. At time of writing, this period is 10 years from date of manufacture or retest as stated by the Health and Safety Executive.
We can also get cylinders re-tested. A retest costs £35 plus Vat and the cylinder will then be stamped to indicate it has been tested.
Non EU Cylinders however cannot be retested or modified to EU spec. |

Summary of the Legislation If it has the Euro 'PI' Mark, and is within it's test period, it can be refilled in the UK and Europe legally.
If it has the American 'DOT' Mark it is illegal to refill in the UK and Europe. You might find places that will do it... but then again you might not.
