Here is a list of commonly asked questions regarding our cylinder re-fill by post service. If your question is not answered here then please send us an email.
Q:Can you fill NX, NOS, NOSWIZARD or any other manufacturers bottles?
A:We can refill any bottle of any size with any connection as long as it is within its test period and is EU (PED or TPED) Approved. Any EU approved bottle will have a " PI" mark on it. You don't even have to have bought the bottle from us. As long as it meets the standards and you use one of our shipping cases we can fill it.
Q:Is my Cylinder EU approved?
A:At this time, all bottles manufactured within the UK and Europe have TPED or PED approval meaning they ARE EU approved. NX, NOS and other American made imported bottles are not EU approved as they only conform to DOT standards, and should not be refilled within the EU.
U.S. DOT bottles are allowed to be imported into the UK using Multilateral Agreement M125 but clearly states that they should be re-exported back to the states for re-filling.
Q:What is the test period?
A:The test period is a term commonly used within the bottle filling industry. Basically, it indicates that a bottle is safe to fill. At time of writing, this period is 10 years from date of manufacture or retest as stated by the Health and Safety Executive.
Q:Is it possible to Retest bottles?
A:Yes it is, we can get it done for £35 plus Vat and the bottle will be stamped to indicate it has been tested.
Non EU bottles however cannot be retested or modified to EU spec.
Q:Can you refill Cold Fusion, NOS, Nx, Ny-trex or other imported American bottles?
A:As mentioned before, if there is no " PI" mark then no, legaly we can not.
