Manifolds, Valves & Pressure Switches
Here you will find many of the 'larger' components that you might want to include in your water injection system. If you buy a 2D or 2S water injection system then you'll already have some of these items included. If you have a basic system 1S then you might want to consider adding a manifold or accumulator to your set-up.
Manifolds, solenoid valves and pressure switches are used to control the water pressure and the pump. On a regular system 1S the injection nozzle is simply mounted on the end of a piece of tubing connected to the pump. When the pump is switched on, the water flows - simple.
Many Aquamist owners like to add to this set-up by having the tube come out of the pump and into a manifold block (806-201) and then have a length of tube going to an inline valve (806-234). They hook up the pressure switch on the manifold block to switch the pump on and off at a desired pressure setting and get the inline valve to operate when they want water to flow to the jets.
A system like this takes water injection just one step further. With an adjustable water pressure the flow is adjustable! Also, the 1"x1" block acts like a pressurized reservoir of water and it stores a small volume of water at the delivery pressure... ready for when the water injection is switched on.

Single channel manifold for custom systems

This water injection manifold was designed to operate in conjunction with our new highspeed valve so water line pressure can be kept constant during different injection rates. It can also be used on applications where the user can set the water line pressure so that the overall flow rate can be tailored for their needs. By setting the pressure switch to the desired water pressure the pressure inside the manifold block can be maintained.

2-way inline valve

This solenoid valve is designed for use for applications where water or air is controlled by a 12V supply. The valve is fitted with 4mm quick-fit hose connectors. Use it to start or stop the high pressure water in a manifolded set-up where the pump is controlled by a pressure switch on the manifold block.

High speed stainless inline valve

This stainless water injection valve was designed specially for high level racing applications. The HSV (High Speed Valve) is very small, measures less than 50mm in length and 14mm in diameter and has an orifice of 1.4mm and maximum flow of 500 CC of water per minute at 4 bars.

The check valve was originally designed for supercharged engine to prevent water being siphoned through the water jet during idle. Recently it has been used for twin jet application where water is again being siphoned between the jets due to pressure in-balance and causes unnecessary delay during injection. Twin-jet application requires two check valves and must be installed immediately after the jets.
