This controller comes complete with temperature sensors that measure the temperature of your intercooler. When it detects that the core temperature is excessive (you can set this temperature) it switches on a water pump that can squirt a jet of water at the surface of your intercooler to cool it down. The controller takes inputs from its temperature sensors and also the duty-cycle of your car's fuel injectors to decide when to spray water on the intercooler. (If you have a carburretor car you will need to buy a pressure switch to make the system spray when a particular boost pressure is reached instead of the injector duty-cycle determining that it is time to spray - we can point you in the right direction. OR, you can set the unit to ignore duty cycle and work on temperature alone).
Included for your money is one controller complete with temperature sensors and wiring looms. You will also need to buy a water pump, some tubing and a spray-bar to complete your setup and either connect into your windscreen washer bottle or get a new reservoir to hold the water.
